De La Soul - Dilla Plugged In
De La Soul - Marvin Jaye:  De La dropped the free mixtape Smell The DA.I.S.Y. this year, reworking a bunch of their old raps with Dilla beats.  Get in the groove.

Katamari Damacy vs Kanye West - Can't Tell Me Anything (Team Teamwork mashup):  OK this isn't the best mashup ever, but given it has the Katamari theme, it's the flagship and can't be missed.

Lathe - Nobody's Fault But Mine:  Incredible soaring track from the EP "II", availble on bandcamp.  Highly recommended.

M83, Anthony Gonzalez & Joseph Trapanese - Waking Up (Oblivion OST):  So yeah, I definitely listen to more soundtracks than watch movies.  Is that odd?  Anyways I definitely had to check this out for the M83 tip, because we all know that epic 80s pop should easily be able to meld in to soundtrack territory.

Michael Jackson - Beat It (acapella demo):  This is fricking ridiculoid.  MJ's multi-tracked acapella demo ideas for Beat It.  WHAT. THE. FUCK.  This is incredible.

m² - Deus Sol Invictus
m² - Heliogabal II:  Heliogabal is a whirlwind of an album.  Luiscious crunchy textures and dark corridors, with only a smattering of occassional beats for familiarity.  This is a dark headtrip, and highly recommended.

The Second Hand Marching Band - This Is The Story:  All bouncey happy twee indie pop, from A Hurricane, A Thunderstorm.

Thomas Feiner, Fyfe Dangerfield, Robbie Wilson - The Rainbow (Talk Talk cover):  OK OK OK, finally, the last great track from the collection of Talk Talk covers…
